Confluent is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join their Growth and Experiences India team, focusing on advancing their cloud platform and improving development efficiency across the engineering organization. The ideal candidate will contribute to building mission-critical user experiences and drive technical initiatives with a strong emphasis on scalability, reliability, and engineering excellence.

What you'll do

Frontend System Development: Build mission-critical experiences that deliver tangible value to customers, focusing on high-performance, scalable, and resilient user interfaces

Technical Leadership: Guide team architectural design decisions, provide technical feedback, and contribute to improving engineering practices

Project Execution: Partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to drive complex technical projects end-to-end within defined timelines

Technical Innovation: Propose and implement initiatives that align the team with industry best practices in code quality, observability, and testing

Problem Solving: Transform ambiguous technical problem statements into actionable plans, driving execution collaboratively

What we look for

Technical

Frontend TechnologiesStrong hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+), React, HTML, and CSS

Testing FrameworksProficiency in unit and integration testing frameworks

Development ToolsFamiliarity with software development tools like Semaphore CI and Jenkins

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Frontend Development4+ years of industry experience in designing, building, and scaling front-end systems in production

Technical LeadershipProven experience in mentoring team members and providing technical guidance
