Summary

Cursor is seeking an experienced Analytics Platform Engineer to build and optimize foundational data infrastructure for a fast-growing AI-powered software development platform. The role involves creating scalable, secure, and high-performance data systems that support company-wide data needs across multiple teams, with a focus on TB-scale data ingestion, orchestration, and platform reliability.

What you'll do

Data Infrastructure Optimization: Own and optimize the raw data layer, improving performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of TB-scale first-party data ingestion
Orchestration Management: Scale and maintain data orchestration infrastructure using tools like Dagster to support data scientists and analytics engineers
Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security and privacy controls for data platforms and agent-based data capabilities
Tooling Evaluation: Assess and implement data tools that solve real stakeholder needs, including BI platforms, data catalogs, and ETL systems
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with technical and non-technical teams to develop scalable platform solutions for recurring data challenges

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Data EngineeringExtensive experience in building and managing large-scale data infrastructure
Pipeline OrchestrationDemonstrated expertise in data pipeline orchestration for large user bases
