The role

Summary

Deel is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to enhance their global payroll and HR platform's security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing automated security tools, implementing secure cloud infrastructure, and ensuring comprehensive security monitoring across the company's rapidly scaling SaaS platform.

What you'll do

Security Automation: Develop and maintain automated security tools and processes to identify vulnerabilities, perform code analysis, monitor systems, and conduct security testing across the CI/CD pipeline.

Secure Infrastructure Design: Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure, network architecture, and deployment processes with robust access controls, encryption, and comprehensive monitoring strategies.

Continuous Security Monitoring: Implement advanced security monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify and respond to security events, including log analysis, intrusion detection, and system monitoring.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Foster collaboration between development, operations, and security teams, ensuring security requirements are understood and seamlessly integrated into the development process.

Compliance Management: Assist in compliance assessments and audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards by providing necessary documentation and evidence of security controls.

What we look for

Technical

Infrastructure as Code SecurityHands-on experience with policy-as-code and infrastructure security scanning tools like Checkov, tfsec, and Terrascan

Programming SkillsProficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, with experience in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

Cloud SecurityAbility to manage and configure Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and firewall systems like Cloudflare

Education

Educational BackgroundBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field preferred

CertificationsSecurity certifications are advantageous but not mandatory

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum 3+ years in Security, SecOps, or DevSecOps roles

Security PrinciplesDeep understanding of security standards, OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, encryption, authentication, and access control
