- AI-First Engineering Culture: Lead the team's transition to an AI-first engineering culture and spec-driven development practices, leveraging AI tools and methodologies to improve developer productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Executive Communication: Drive alignment across engineering squads and cross-functional partners including product, design, data, finance, pharmacy, operations, and care teams. Represent engineering in executive forums, translating technical strategy and trade-offs into business language that influences key decisions.
- Data-Driven Product Intelligence: Partner with data and analytics teams to make the commerce platform smarter, leveraging conversion analytics to optimize pricing strategies, promotion effectiveness, checkout funnel performance, and customer retention metrics.
- Staffing & Organizational Strategy: Own staffing and organizational strategy including hiring, headcount planning, compensation benchmarking, and team structure design to match evolving commerce domain needs. Build and retain a high-performing engineering organization capable of scaling.
- Hiring & Talent Acquisition: Actively recruit top engineering talent, defining hiring criteria, conducting technical interviews, and building a pipeline of high-potential candidates. Partner with talent acquisition and recruiting teams to attract domain experts in commerce, backend systems, and payment processing.
- Performance Management & Career Development: Establish clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and develop individual career growth plans for direct reports and their teams. Identify high-potential technical and management track candidates for advancement.
