The role

Summary

Hopper is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to drive innovation in their Fintech team, building highly scalable systems for travel technology solutions. The role focuses on developing microservices architecture for B2B travel platforms, integrating advanced fintech products across global travel partnerships.

What you'll do

Microservices Development: Design and implement core systems within a microservices architecture, focusing on high availability and global scalability for travel fintech platforms
Feature Iteration: Develop and refine features using agile methodologies, with rapid code deployment and continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Frontend Engineers, and other specialists to drive innovative solutions
System Performance: Optimize distributed systems with a focus on performance, maintainability, and scalability of backend infrastructure
Technology Integration: Integrate advanced fintech products with major travel companies, airlines, and financial institutions through Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS)

What we look for

Technical

Cloud TechnologiesExtensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Programming LanguagesProficiency in Scala and ability to work with React (training provided)
Distributed SystemsStrong understanding of distributed systems architecture and performance optimization

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

Experience

Industry ExperiencePreferred background in airline, travel, or eCommerce industries
