Summary

Hopper is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for their Fintech team, focusing on building innovative B2B travel technology solutions. The role involves developing highly scalable microservices that power Hopper's proprietary fintech products for global travel partners, with a focus on creating robust, high-performance systems that drive revenue and provide travel protection services.

What you'll do

Feature Development: Iteratively develop and implement features using Scala and React in an agile environment
System Architecture: Design and build core systems within a microservices architecture
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with product managers, data scientists, and frontend engineers
Quality Assurance: Write testable, performant, and scalable code with a focus on system quality
Innovation: Contribute to Hopper's travel fintech strategy by developing innovative solutions

What we look for

Technical

Cloud ExperienceProven experience with cloud platforms
Programming SkillsStrong programming skills, preferably in Scala or similar languages
System DesignAbility to design scalable and maintainable distributed systems

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred

Experience

Senior Engineer5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack development
MicroservicesProven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
