Summary

Hopper is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join their Fintech team, focusing on building scalable B2B travel technology solutions. The role involves developing innovative fintech products for global travel partners using modern cloud and microservices architectures, with a critical focus on creating highly available systems that power travel insurance and disruption assistance products.

What you'll do

Feature Development: Iteratively develop and ship features using Scala and React in an agile environment
System Architecture: Design and implement core systems within a microservices architecture
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with product managers, data scientists, and frontend engineers
Quality Assurance: Write testable, high-performance, and scalable code
Innovation: Contribute to Hopper's B2B travel fintech strategy and product development

What we look for

Technical

Cloud ExperienceDemonstrated proficiency with cloud platforms
Programming SkillsStrong coding abilities, preferably in Scala and/or React
System DesignUnderstanding of distributed systems and performance optimization

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Senior Engineering5+ years of software engineering experience with increasing complexity and responsibility
Full Stack DevelopmentProven experience in full-stack development across backend and frontend technologies
