The role

Summary

Mapbox is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Data Engineer for their Roads Team in Helsinki, focusing on developing advanced road network data processing pipelines and navigation technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong distributed computing skills, cloud expertise, and the ability to design and optimize complex data infrastructure for mapping and location services.

What you'll do

Data Pipeline Management: Take ownership, improve, scale, and iterate on existing data processing pipelines

Pipeline Development: Design and implement new data processing pipelines for road network and navigation data

Performance Monitoring: Collect and monitor performance metrics for data infrastructure

Security Implementation: Contribute to discussing and implementing security best practices
