Summary

Mapbox is seeking a Software Development Engineer I (Data Engineer) for their HD Maps team, focusing on geospatial big data analytics and high-precision mapping solutions. The role involves developing scalable cloud applications using advanced technologies to support automotive and GIS data products, with a strong emphasis on algorithmic innovation and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do

Product Roadmap Development: Lead the initiation, design, and building of product roadmaps for algorithmic stages within cloud applications
Cloud Application Development: Code and develop algorithmic stages in cloud environments with high scalability using Python, SQL, AWS, and Spark
Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate across R&D teams to integrate analytics solutions into mapping products and align with strategic objectives
Customer Engagement: Communicate directly with customers in automotive and mapping industries across EU, US, Japan, and China
Business Alignment: Work with business development teams to ensure product roadmaps meet customer needs and market trends
