Summary

Notable is seeking an experienced Security Operations Engineer to protect their cloud infrastructure and software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring robust cloud security expertise, focusing on implementing comprehensive security controls, threat modeling, and ensuring robust protection across Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.

What you'll do

Cloud Infrastructure Security: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security controls for cloud infrastructure spanning Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services
Network Security Management: Build and maintain partner IPSec VPN connections, configure NAT and IP routing using Terraform, and perform advanced threat modeling
Identity and Access Management: Configure and manage IAM systems, ensuring robust access controls and compliance with security policies
Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Perform continuous auditing, log analysis, and proactive monitoring to identify and mitigate potential security risks and vulnerabilities
Data Protection: Implement data loss prevention techniques and strategies to protect sensitive organizational and customer information
Security Policy Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and standards for engineering teams

What we look for

Technical

Cloud PlatformsExtensive experience with Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services
Network EngineeringProficient in TCP/IP, routing, firewall configuration, and IPSec VPN implementation
System AdministrationLinux system administration skills, including bash scripting and Ubuntu management
Programming LanguagesCoding ability in Python, Node.js, or TypeScript

Education

Academic QualificationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field

Experience

Professional ExperienceMinimum 5+ years in Security Operations Engineer role with demonstrated cloud security expertise
