The role

Summary

OpenAI's Full Stack Software Engineer role in the Integrity Foundations team focuses on designing robust systems to detect and prevent platform abuse, ensuring the responsible and secure development of AI technologies. The ideal candidate will contribute to building high-quality internal tools that protect against adversarial threats while maintaining an exceptional user experience.

What you'll do

API Design: Create tailored APIs supporting internal workflows across the entire technology stack
Safety Tools Development: Construct and integrate investigative tools for internal teams with robust access controls and auditability
Threat Mitigation: Collaborate on designing solutions to protect against adversarial attacks while maintaining optimal user experience
Incident Management: Provide support during active platform incidents and develop infrastructure to address fundamental systemic problems

What we look for

Technical

Software Engineering ExperienceMinimum of 3 years professional software engineering experience
Full Stack ProficiencyDemonstrated ability to work across frontend and backend technologies

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred
