The role

Summary

Poshmark is seeking a Security Engineer II to strengthen their AWS and cloud security infrastructure, focusing on implementing robust security controls, managing cloud services, and protecting their fashion marketplace platform and its 60 million community members.

What you'll do

Cloud Infrastructure Security: Develop and maintain secure AWS infrastructure aligned with industry best practices and CIS benchmarks
Security Service Management: Manage and optimize AWS security services including IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Config, WAF, and Organizations
Vulnerability Management: Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments across cloud, infrastructure, endpoints, and containerized workloads
Security Automation: Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and automate security processes using scripting languages
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work across teams to embed security throughout the infrastructure and product lifecycle

Technical

AWS SecurityHands-on experience with AWS security services and cloud security controls
Cloud Security ToolsProficiency in Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and cloud misconfiguration management
Containerization SecurityWorking knowledge of Kubernetes and container security fundamentals

Education

Cybersecurity EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional Experience3-5 years of experience in Security Engineering, with at least 2+ years focused on AWS or public cloud security

Skills

Required skills

AWS ServicesExpertise in AWS security services like IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Config, WAF
Security FrameworksFamiliarity with CIS, NIST security frameworks
ScriptingProficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages

Enterprise Security ToolsExperience with Okta, CrowdStrike, JAMF
Infrastructure as CodeKnowledge of Terraform or similar IaC frameworks
