Ramp is seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to join their innovative financial infrastructure team, focusing on building sophisticated spend control and transaction systems that power financial workflows for over 50,000 companies. The ideal candidate will design scalable backend systems that handle billions of dollars in transactions while integrating advanced AI-driven automation and policy enforcement.

What we look for

Technical

Backend Systems1+ years of backend or full-stack development experience with backend focus
System ArchitectureStrong fundamentals in backend systems and API design
Infrastructure KnowledgeFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Software EngineeringMinimum 1 year of professional software engineering experience
Project OwnershipExperience managing complex projects from architecture through deployment
