The role

Summary

Ramp is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer for their Engineering Platform team, focused on building critical infrastructure that enables 300+ engineers to work efficiently and innovatively. The role involves creating sophisticated developer tooling, improving CI/CD pipelines, and developing AI-native reliability systems that empower engineering productivity and system resilience.

What you'll do

Developer Infrastructure: Build and maintain systems that enhance engineering team productivity, including merge queues, deployment pipelines, and development tooling
Incident Management: Lead comprehensive incident resolution from root cause diagnosis to prevention strategies
Service Golden Paths: Design standardized infrastructure templates for services to reduce redundant work
Developer Tooling: Manage and optimize developer tools ecosystem including dev portal, monitoring, and deployment systems
Performance Optimization: Measure and improve software development lifecycle metrics like PR throughput and defect rates
AI Infrastructure: Develop AI-native reliability tools and create infrastructure supportive of autonomous coding agents

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred
