What you'll do.
Ramp is seeking a Software Engineer for their Growth Platform team to build systems and applications that power every growth channel. This role involves developing high-volume data ingestion systems, customer-facing applications, and AI-powered workflows while partnering with product, data, and design teams. The position requires 3+ years of software development experience and offers the opportunity to directly shape Ramp's growth engine for scaling to millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Growth Platform Development: Build software that helps grow Ramp to its next millions of users through scalable systems and applications
- Internal Platform Engineering: Build and scale internal platforms and applications including workflow orchestration, incentives, sales and marketing apps that power growth across the company
- Data Pipeline Architecture: Design and maintain data ingestion and activation pipelines across Ramp products, internal business systems, external systems, and third-party data
- AI/ML Integration: Apply AI/LLMs to unstructured data processing, automation, personalization, and growth signal derivation
- Metrics-Driven Development: Drive business outcomes through experiments and metric-driven software development approaches
- Technical Decision Making: Make thoughtful prioritization and scoping decisions around when to build custom solutions vs. leverage third-party tools
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in a fast-moving, collaborative engineering team alongside partners in product, data, and design

Technical
Software Development Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a software development role
Modern Development Tools
Experience shipping fast, reliable applications using modern development tools and infrastructure
Data Stack Knowledge
Familiarity with modern data stack including ETL tools like Fivetran, workflow orchestrators like Airflow, data platforms like Snowflake
AI/ML Production Experience
Experience applying AI/LLMs in production environments
Education
Computer Science Degree
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Growth engineering builds the systems and applications that power every growth channel at Ramp. As an engineer on this team, you’ll own foundational problems ranging from high volume data ingestion and interfaces to customer-facing applications and AI-powered workflows. You’ll partner closely with product, data, and design, and work directly with stakeholders across growth, sales, and finance. What You’ll Do
