The role

Summary

Ramp is seeking a Software Engineer to focus on stablecoin-based payment and treasury systems, working on next-generation fintech infrastructure. The role involves building secure, reliable integrations with blockchain payment rails while collaborating across engineering teams to integrate stablecoin capabilities into Ramp's core financial operations platform.

What you'll do

Stablecoin Infrastructure Development: Build and scale Ramp's stablecoin-based payment and treasury infrastructure to handle high-volume financial transactions
External Partner Integration: Partner with external providers and internal stakeholders to deliver end-to-end product flows for stablecoin payments
Fintech Innovation: Solve Ramp's toughest fintech challenges using new blockchain and stablecoin technologies
Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers across Ramp to integrate stablecoin capabilities into core financial products
System Architecture: Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable distributed systems for financial operations
API Development: Build robust APIs for blockchain payment rails and wallet infrastructure integration

What we look for

Technical

Backend DevelopmentMinimum 1+ years of experience shipping high-quality architectures for critical systems
Stablecoin TechnologiesProven experience with stablecoin technologies, blockchain-based payment rails, and/or wallet infrastructure
Cloud InfrastructureStrong production experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
Programming LanguagesDeep proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional programming language (Python, Go, Java, or similar)

Education

Bachelor's DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Critical Systems1+ years of experience building and maintaining high-availability systems
Financial TechnologyExperience in fintech, payments, or financial services industry preferred
Blockchain IntegrationHands-on experience with blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency systems

Stablecoin TechnologiesExperience with USDC, USDT, and other stablecoin protocols and integration
Blockchain Payment RailsUnderstanding of blockchain-based payment systems and transaction processing
