Summary

Real is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead the creation and maintenance of their data infrastructure, focusing on building robust reporting capabilities and data-driven automation pipelines. The role requires deep expertise in database design, SQL, and business intelligence systems, with a critical focus on supporting Real's technology-powered real estate brokerage platform.

What you'll do

Data Infrastructure: Lead the creation and maintenance of company-wide data infrastructure in AWS
Reporting Capabilities: Develop comprehensive reporting systems and data access mechanisms for business teams
Business Intelligence: Implement and manage BI systems like Tableau to support data-driven decision making
Data Automation: Create and maintain automated data pipelines to ensure efficient data processing
Data Integrity: Develop and implement test infrastructure to maintain high standards of data quality

Technical

Database DesignAdvanced knowledge of relational data design, including normalization and ACID properties
Performance OptimizationAbility to optimize database performance through strategic indexing and query optimization
BI ToolsProficiency with Tableau or equivalent business intelligence systems

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field preferred
Data EngineeringAdvanced degree or specialized certification in Data Engineering or Database Management

Experience

Database Experience8+ years of experience working with relational databases and business intelligence systems
Data InfrastructureProven track record of designing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure
