Summary

Join Satispay as a Frontend Software Engineer III to build next-generation financial technology solutions for 6 million users across Europe. This Senior-level role focuses on developing a highly scalable and performant core frontend platform using modern technologies like TypeScript, React, and GraphQL. You'll take ownership of feature development, drive technical excellence through code reviews and design patterns, and contribute to architectural decisions while working in a fast-paced fintech environment with three days in-office hybrid flexibility.

What you'll do

Feature Development Leadership: Take ownership of feature development initiatives from conception through deployment. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, performant frontend solutions. Participate actively in code reviews, ensuring quality standards and mentoring junior team members.
Technical Architecture & Scalability: Design and implement scalable frontend systems that support modularity and maintainability as business requirements evolve. Evaluate and select appropriate modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and tools that align with project needs and team capabilities. Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap for the core frontend platform.
Code Quality & Standards: Enforce adherence to design patterns, coding standards, and best practices across the frontend codebase. Establish and maintain frontend conventions through documentation, shared libraries, and architectural decisions that improve developer experience and long-term maintainability.
Performance Optimization: Implement advanced performance optimization techniques including lazy loading, code splitting, tree shaking, and caching strategies. Monitor application performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvements to ensure optimal user experience across diverse network conditions.
Design System Collaboration: Work closely with design teams to develop and maintain a modular, accessible design system. Contribute to component library development using headless UI libraries and Storybook. Ensure consistency across applications while supporting team needs for customization and extensibility.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Maintain comprehensive test coverage across unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright. Establish testing best practices and ensure new features maintain high quality standards with appropriate test automation.
Observability & Production Support: Implement robust monitoring and observability for production applications using Sentry and Kibana. Maintain production applications with proactive monitoring and quick incident response. Use logging and error tracking tools to identify issues and implement preventative measures.
API Integration & Data Management: Build and maintain efficient integrations with REST and GraphQL APIs. Implement proper data fetching patterns using TanStack Query for server state management. Handle real-time data updates using WebSockets where needed and implement appropriate caching strategies.
Build System & DevOps: Work with modern build systems including Vite and Rollup to optimize build performance and bundle sizes. Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines using CodeBuild and CodePipeline. Manage deployment processes and ensure smooth releases to production.
Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship: Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and technical discussions. Mentor junior engineers on frontend best practices, architecture patterns, and modern tooling. Document technical decisions and architectural patterns to support team learning and onboarding.
