Summary

Solace is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to revolutionize healthcare technology by building scalable, high-performance systems that power their patient advocacy platform. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, autonomous engineer who can architect robust backend solutions and contribute end-to-end across the technology stack.

What you'll do

Backend System Architecture: Design and build scalable services and APIs that drive core platform features, focusing on system reliability and performance optimization
Full-Stack Contribution: Provide cross-functional support by jumping into frontend code when necessary to ensure seamless feature delivery
System Maintenance: Continuously refactor and improve codebase, maintaining robust and resilient backend infrastructure
Deployment Management: Drive large releases to production using continuous deployment methodologies and write clear specifications for stress-free deployments
Collaborative Development: Work closely with product and design teams to build world-class products and lead initiatives that enhance user experience

What we look for

Technical

Backend TechnologiesExpertise in TypeScript/Node.js, API design, database architecture, and distributed systems
Frontend ProficiencyComfortable working with React and frontend technologies, capable of contributing when needed

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional Experience5+ years of backend development experience, preferably in a startup environment
Startup Culture AdaptabilityProven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic startup settings with a bias towards action and execution
