Summary

Sunday is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to architect the mission-critical infrastructure for managing their home robotics fleet. The ideal candidate will develop secure, scalable systems that enable robot authentication, telemetry, and privacy-first management across global deployments, working at the intersection of IoT, cloud infrastructure, and edge computing.

What you'll do

Fleet Identity & Security: Design and implement robust robot authentication and registration systems, ensuring secure cloud-to-hardware communication and handshake protocols

Observability & Health Monitoring: Develop centralized telemetry and alerting systems to monitor robot availability, hardware health, and system performance across the global robot fleet

Privacy Infrastructure: Create and maintain systems that manage data privacy and residency, ensuring secure and trusted robot deployments in home environments

Adaptive Development: Demonstrate flexibility in a high-growth startup environment, capable of shifting priorities and contributing across different technology stack areas

What we look for

Technical

Backend DevelopmentProficiency in robust backend architectures using Python and/or C++

Frontend DevelopmentAbility to create clean, functional frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript

IoT SystemsStrong understanding of secure remote access, device state synchronization, and handling intermittent connectivity

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Full Stack ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience building and scaling end-to-end applications

System ReliabilityProven track record of building high-reliability systems with minimal downtime and robust security
