Summary

Senior Software Engineer role at UiPath focused on building and evolving the Document Understanding cloud platform, enabling clients to train, deploy, and scale Machine Learning models for document processing. The position requires 5+ years of experience architecting large-scale commercial applications with proficiency in system-level programming languages, cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP), and containerization technologies. You will develop robust components, optimize performance, drive code quality improvements, and collaborate across globally distributed teams to deliver world-class document understanding solutions.

What you'll do

Component Development and Architecture: Design, architect, and develop robust, reliable, and scalable components for the Document Understanding platform. Create production-grade code that handles document splitting, classification, and data extraction workflows. Apply software engineering best practices to ensure maintainability and extensibility of the codebase across the cloud platform.

Performance Optimization and Bottleneck Resolution: Identify performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability limitations in existing systems. Devise and implement optimization solutions with performance-first engineering mindset. Conduct profiling, load testing, and benchmarking to ensure the platform meets enterprise-grade performance requirements at scale.

Quality Assurance and Testing Strategy: Maintain and improve code quality through comprehensive testing strategies including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end automation. Establish and enforce quality standards and code review practices. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and automated testing infrastructure to ensure continuous reliability.

Machine Learning Model Integration: Work on integrating and scaling machine learning models within the Document Understanding platform. Enable users to train custom models with their own datasets and deploy them for real-world document processing scenarios. Ensure seamless integration between ML model serving infrastructure and document processing pipelines.

Cross-Team Collaboration and Innovation: Collaborate with geographically distributed engineering teams across multiple locations to develop best-in-class document understanding solutions. Participate in architectural discussions, design reviews, and technical problem-solving sessions. Share knowledge and mentor team members on complex technical challenges and emerging technologies.

Platform Scalability and Reliability: Ensure seamless integration of Document Understanding platform across diverse cloud environments and products. Drive improvements in scalability, reliability, and disaster recovery capabilities. Work on multi-tenant cloud architecture considerations and ensure compliance with enterprise requirements for security and performance.

System-Level Programming LanguagesDemonstrated proficiency in one or more system-level programming languages including C#, Java, Python, or Rust. Must be able to write efficient, high-performance code and willing to expand expertise to other languages as needed for platform requirements.

Education
