The role

Summary

Welltech is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to strengthen their security posture across their wellness technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate will lead critical security initiatives, collaborate across teams, and drive comprehensive security improvements for their global wellness apps used by over 25.5 million users.

What you'll do

Security Initiatives Execution: Own and drive multiple key security initiatives, ensuring comprehensive integration, documentation, and alignment with Welltech's security objectives.
Cross-Functional Security Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, IT, and product teams to embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle and operational processes.
Team Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor junior team members in the Security team, guiding their professional growth and development.
Compliance and Risk Management: Lead PCI-DSS Compliance initiative, conduct threat modeling, perform risk assessments, and support incident response efforts.
Security Infrastructure Design: Design, implement, and maintain security controls and measures across Welltech's systems, networks, and cloud environments.
Security Culture Development: Support and lead security awareness efforts to foster a strong security culture throughout the organization.

Cloud Platform ExpertiseProven experience with AWS or Google Cloud platforms
Programming SkillsProficiency in Python, with experience in writing Lambda functions
Container OrchestrationExperience with Kubernetes in production environments
CI/CD SecurityFamiliarity with CI/CD tooling and secure deployment practices

Education

Cybersecurity KnowledgeComprehensive understanding of security principles, vulnerabilities, and common attack techniques

Experience

Security Engineering Tenure5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience with proven expertise in implementing and managing security solutions

Skills

Required skills

Cloud SecurityStrong skills in securing cloud infrastructure and platforms
Security ControlsExpertise in designing and implementing comprehensive security controls
Compliance ManagementExperience with security compliance frameworks like PCI-DSS

Nice to have
