Summary

Welltech is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to strengthen their security infrastructure across their wellness technology platforms. The ideal candidate will drive comprehensive security initiatives, collaborate across teams, and play a critical role in protecting the company's digital ecosystem serving over 25.5 million users globally.

What you'll do

Security Initiative Execution: Drive and own multiple key security initiatives, ensuring comprehensive documentation and alignment with company security goals
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, IT, and product teams to embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Compliance Management: Lead PCI-DSS compliance initiatives and develop internal security policies and standards
Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls across systems, networks, and cloud environments
Threat Management: Contribute to threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response to maintain a proactive security posture
Security Culture Development: Support and lead security awareness efforts to foster a strong organizational security culture

What we look for

Technical

Cloud SecurityProven expertise in securing cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
KubernetesHands-on experience with Kubernetes security in production environments
Security PrinciplesDeep understanding of security vulnerabilities and attack techniques

Education

CybersecurityDegree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Security Engineering5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience
ComplianceExperience with security compliance frameworks, particularly PCI-DSS

Skills

Required skills

Cloud SecurityExpertise in securing cloud environments, particularly AWS or Google Cloud
PythonProficiency in Python, especially in writing Lambda functions
KubernetesExperience with Kubernetes security in production environments
CI/CD SecurityKnowledge of secure deployment practices and CI/CD tooling

Nice to have

PCI-DSSExperience with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliance
Application SecurityUnderstanding of application security principles and techniques
DLP PlatformsExperience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platforms
