Summary

Xero is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their mobile engineering team in Melbourne, focusing on driving high-quality software delivery, technical excellence, and team growth for the Xero Accounting mobile app. The ideal candidate will balance product velocity with operational excellence while championing AI-native workflows and supporting team development.

What you'll do

Team Leadership: Lead and manage the mobile engineering team, focusing on coaching, career development, and creating an inclusive team culture

Product Delivery: Drive high-impact mobile workflows including banking, invoicing, payments, and file management within the mobile channel

Technical Excellence: Champion production-first mindset by automating delivery pipelines, solving system failure patterns, and leading incident responses

Strategic Planning: Transform high-level business goals into executable engineering plans with data-driven decision-making

System Health: Maintain scalable and available systems, proactively manage technical debt, and ensure alignment with Xero's technology strategy
