Summary

Xero is seeking a visionary VP of Engineering to lead the transformation of their Reporting & Insights platform, focusing on building an AI-native reporting stack in a new Vancouver engineering hub. The role involves modernizing complex data systems, establishing high-performing teams, and creating scalable, personalized financial reporting solutions for small businesses.

What you'll do

Platform Modernization: Lead the architectural transformation of Xero's reporting platform from legacy systems to an AI-native, scalable solution

Team Development: Establish and grow two new high-performing engineering and product teams in the Vancouver hub

Global Collaboration: Coordinate with international teams to create a unified and modernized reporting experience across global engineering hubs

Technical Standards: Develop and implement technical standards for high-accuracy data systems managing complex accounting data and audit trails

AI Integration: Architect an AI-first reporting stack that moves away from operational database dependencies to improve global scalability
