Summary

Zip is seeking versatile Backend Software Engineers across all experience levels to build core products for their enterprise procurement AI platform. The role involves developing scalable web applications, APIs, and innovative solutions that drive procurement efficiency for leading enterprises like T-Mobile and OpenAI.

What you'll do

Product Architecture: Design and build highly reliable and resilient core products across Zip's product ecosystem, including request management, workflow builders, and reporting dashboards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and develop thoughtful, innovative solutions.
API Development: Design and develop scalable APIs to drive existing and new features for web-based applications, ensuring robust and extensible codebase.
System Integration: Create integrations with external systems like Jira, ServiceNow, and Slack to enhance platform connectivity and functionality.

What we look for

Technical

Programming LanguagesProficiency in Python and JavaScript, with strong understanding of web application and API development in production environments.
Web TechnologiesExperienced with React, GraphQL, and modern frontend development practices.
DevOps ToolsFamiliarity with Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana for build, test, and deployment processes.

Education

Academic BackgroundBS or higher in Computer Science, or related technical field such as Physics or Mathematics involving coding.

Experience

Professional ExperienceRecommended 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience, with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and solve complex technical challenges.
