Summary

This Senior Data Scientist role at Airwallex focuses on regulatory reporting and analytics for compliance teams across their global fintech platform. What you'll do

Regulatory Analytics Leadership: Lead analytics and data design for priority regulatory reports including compliance, financial crime, and financial regulatory returns from requirements through go-live

Cross-functional Standardization: Partner with multiple teams to standardize common dimensions across reports, leveraging the regulatory reporting data foundation

Quality Assurance Framework: Work with Data Engineering to define automated test suites and manual QA playbooks for regulatory report validation

Historical Data Management: Implement snapshotting and versioning approaches to regenerate and explain historical reports during audits and regulatory examinations

Anomaly Investigation: Conduct deep-dive analyses for anomalies, regulatory requests, and audit findings, quantifying impact and proposing remediation

Platform Requirements: Shape requirements for scalable regulatory reporting and risk analytics platform development

Strategic Partnership: Act as primary analytics partner, translating regulatory questions into structured analytical projects and roadmaps

Best Practices Champion: Promote analytical rigor, documentation standards, and validation practices while mentoring team members
