Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join their Information Security team in Melbourne. The role involves integrating security practices into the development lifecycle, building automated CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating across development, security, and operations teams to protect the company's global payments platform serving 200,000+ businesses worldwide.

What you'll do

Security Integration: Integrate security practices throughout the entire infrastructure and software development lifecycle

CI/CD Pipeline Security: Implement security tools and best practices into CI/CD pipelines including static and dynamic code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing

Infrastructure Automation: Design and implement automated processes for building, testing, securing, and deploying infrastructure services and applications

Cloud Infrastructure Management: Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to bridge gaps and foster a culture of shared responsibility for security

Automation Script Development: Create and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline the development and deployment process

Security Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotation, investigate and resolve security incidents swiftly and effectively

Continuous Security Monitoring: Monitor systems and applications for vulnerabilities, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions proactively

Security Education and Training: Champion an environment of ongoing learning and best practice across the teams

Technical

Security PrinciplesStrong understanding of security principles and practices

Scripting LanguagesProficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, and Terraform

Cloud PlatformsExperience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Aliyun

CI/CD ToolsHands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI

Infrastructure as CodeKnowledge of IaC principles and tools for automated infrastructure management
