Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Client Risk team to design and build AI/ML-powered risk monitoring systems. This role focuses on leveraging LLMs, agent frameworks, and advanced analytics to proactively detect financial crime and credit risk across all Airwallex products while automating operational workflows for global business growth.

What you'll do

AI-Powered Risk System Development: Design, build, and maintain cutting-edge risk monitoring systems using AI, ML, and LLM technologies to proactively detect and mitigate client-level financial risks

LLM Agent Automation: Develop automated name screening, sanction checking, and anti-money laundering solutions powered by LLM agents aligned with operational workflows

Unified Client Management Platform: Build seamless client management systems that consolidate internal and external data into a single source of truth for risk intelligence and decisioning

AI Evaluation Framework: Establish robust agent evaluation methodologies and pipelines to objectively measure and demonstrate the effectiveness of AI-driven automation solutions

Scalable Cloud Infrastructure: Construct and support scalable, highly available, and low-latency distributed systems on public cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS) with strong data governance

Data Pipeline Engineering: Build and maintain reliable data pipelines, data quality monitoring, and real-time streaming services for risk analytics

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with global teams including product, engineering, operations, compliance, and data science to drive impactful risk solutions and operational excellence
