Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Cloud Platform Engineering team in Singapore, focusing on building critical infrastructure systems for cost management and security access platforms. The ideal candidate will design and implement robust cloud resource management solutions that enhance engineering productivity, cost governance, and security across the organization.

What you'll do

Cost Management Platform: Design and build a multi-level billing and cost attribution pipeline for GCP resources

Billing Dashboard: Create a self-serve cost reporting system for organizational use

Cost Optimization: Develop anomaly detection, alerting, and resource rightsizing tools

Security Access Platform: Implement Just-In-Time (JIT) access request system and self-service credential management

Infrastructure Monitoring: Ensure robust monitoring and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure systems

Technical

Cloud InfrastructureDeep understanding of cloud infrastructure design and management

Security EngineeringExpertise in implementing secure access control systems

Data ProcessingAbility to design complex data pipelines and processing systems

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Platform Engineering5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in platform or infrastructure tooling

Project OwnershipExperience managing projects end-to-end from design to implementation and monitoring

Skills

Required skills

Backend EngineeringStrong skills in building backend services and infrastructure tooling

Cloud PlatformsHands-on experience with GCP or AWS cloud platforms

Programming LanguagesProficiency in Go, Python, or Java

Data PipelinesExperience designing and building data processing and aggregation pipelines

Cloud SecurityUnderstanding of cloud security principles including IAM, RBAC/ABAC, and least-privilege access

FinOpsExperience in cost management and billing systems

Access ControlFamiliarity with JIT, PAM, and ABAC/RBAC frameworks
