Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Tech Platform Team, building cutting-edge financial web applications using React, TypeScript, and micro frontend architectures. The role involves developing scalable fintech solutions, working with GraphQL and Apollo Federation, and contributing to design systems for a global payments platform serving 200,000+ businesses worldwide.

What you'll do

Frontend Development: Develop cutting-edge financial web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend technologies

Micro Frontend Architecture: Build scalable micro frontend applications with domain-based design architecture and seamless SPA integration

Backend for Frontend (BFF): Leverage Apollo GraphQL to build scalable and high-performance Node.js services with simple backend integration

Design System Development: Collaborate with design teams to build design systems and common components providing universal UI/UX experience

Library Development: Deliver NPM packages and library widgets as open source projects for easy client integration

Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy micro frontend and Node.js services using GCP, Alibaba Cloud K8S, CDN, and Cloudflare with GitLab CI/CD

Testing Implementation: Implement comprehensive testing using React Testing Library, Cypress for unit and e2e tests with 80%+ coverage

CMS Development: Build no-code/serverless CMS systems using Contentful and Next.js for corporate and branding landing pages

Technical Leadership: Engage with frontend guild, research cutting-edge technologies, and drive initiatives for high-quality products and technical debt reduction

Frontend Experience5+ years of frontend development experience with 2+ years of frontend architecture experience

Core TechnologiesProficient in HTML5, CSS3, ECMAScript 6+, and TypeScript

Framework ExpertiseProficient in React, Vue, Angular and their corresponding technology stacks

Styling TechnologiesExperience with Emotion, Styled-Components, SCSS, and CSS preprocessing
