What you'll do

Technical Architecture Leadership: Lead the strategy, architecture, development, and operation of Airwallex's data and AI platforms

Cross-functional Problem Solving: Spearhead identification and resolution of company-wide challenges using cutting-edge data platform solutions

Technical Vision and Direction: Provide visionary technical direction and foster a community within Airwallex's data realm

Hands-on Development: Actively lead in solving complex problems hands-on while maintaining architectural oversight

Best Practices Advocacy: Advocate for best practices across the data platform, instilling a culture of craftsmanship and innovation

Team Mentorship: Mentor the data platform team, nurturing both technical and professional development

Platform Development: Build platforms that handle the entire data and AI/ML lifecycle with proper safety and governance

Infrastructure Management: Manage data infrastructure including Databricks, Spark, Kafka, and related technologies

Data Platform ExperienceMinimum 8 years experience in Data Platform or equivalent quantitative field exposure

Multi-geographical Data PipelinesProficiency in building, deploying, and maintaining reliable data pipelines at scale
