Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Billing team in Singapore, focusing on developing a next-generation billing platform that supports global businesses. The role involves leading system design, implementing microservices, and building scalable billing solutions with high-impact technical challenges.

What you'll do

System Architecture: Lead planning, design, and implementation of Airwallex's engineering billing system with focus on complex system architecture

Business Alignment: Collaborate with product and business teams to understand requirements and develop corresponding technical solutions

Microservices Development: Design and develop components based on the company's microservice framework

Innovation: Introduce innovative technologies and solutions to enhance team capabilities

Team Leadership: Manage technical team development and establish robust internal coding standards

What we look for

Technical

Java Expertise8+ years of Core Java development, with strong understanding of multi-threading, high concurrency, and network communication

System DesignExperience in designing large-scale distributed, high concurrency, high availability systems

Framework KnowledgeProficient in Spring/Spring Boot, with experience in microservices architecture

Education

Computer Science DegreeBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field

Experience

Payment PlatformMinimum 1 year experience in payment platform development

Large System Development5+ years experience in Internet applications, financial systems, or e-commerce platforms
