Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Infrastructure team in Singapore, focusing on developing and maintaining robust data infrastructure and DevOps tools. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, design scalable solutions, and empower engineering teams with self-service capabilities in a fast-growing global fintech environment.

What you'll do

Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical direction and leadership to the engineering team in Singapore, guiding infrastructure and data engineering initiatives.

Infrastructure Design: Design and implement scalable, robust data infrastructure that meets diverse engineering team requirements and enhances operational efficiency.

Platform Development: Create and enhance self-service tooling and platforms to empower engineering teams with improved capabilities and productivity.

Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive testing, ensure software quality, and perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of deployed systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align project objectives, ensure timely delivery, and drive technological innovation.

Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging technologies, programming languages, and development methodologies to continuously improve software solutions.

KubernetesAdvanced expertise in container orchestration and management using Kubernetes

TerraformProficient in infrastructure as code using Terraform for cloud resource provisioning

GitOpsExperience with GitOps methodologies and continuous deployment practices

Programming LanguagesHands-on experience with at least one programming language for infrastructure and tooling development

Education

Computer Science DegreeBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

Experience

Engineering LeadershipMinimum 6 years of software engineering experience with proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams

Data InfrastructureStrong background in designing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure solutions
