The role

Summary

Codat is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Platform & Infrastructure team to drive the evolution of mission-critical platform services. The ideal candidate will enhance developer productivity, improve system reliability, and contribute to the technical roadmap of a high-growth financial technology platform.

What you'll do

Platform Service Development: Design, implement, and maintain core platform services and tools that enhance developer productivity, reliability, and security for all engineering teams.
Technical Roadmap Leadership: Drive the technical roadmap for cloud infrastructure, focusing on principles of simplicity, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Operational Excellence: Establish and advocate for best practices in CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and proactive system reliability management.
Incident Management: Lead resolution of complex production incidents and proactively identify performance bottlenecks across the platform foundation.
Mentorship: Guide product engineers on platform usage, architectural patterns, and operational best practices.

What we look for

Technical

Cloud InfrastructureExtensive experience operating production systems in high availability cloud environments
Programming LanguagesDeep expertise in strongly typed languages, particularly C#
Infrastructure as CodePractical experience with tools like Terraform
ContainerizationExperience with Docker and Kubernetes

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Experience

Platform EngineeringProven track record of building robust, reliable systems with strong focus on observability and operational excellence
Deployment ProcessesProficiency in modern build and deployment processes, including automated, progressive continuous deployments
