Summary

Mapbox is seeking a Senior Software Data Engineer for their Roads Team in Minsk, focusing on developing comprehensive global road networks and data processing pipelines. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with strong distributed computing and cloud engineering skills, working to enhance Mapbox's location platform technology.

What you'll do

Data Pipeline Development: Take ownership, improve, scale, and iterate on existing data processing pipelines for road networks and mapping technologies

Pipeline Implementation: Design and implement new data processing pipelines with high performance and scalability

Performance Monitoring: Collect and monitor performance metrics for data infrastructure and processing systems

Security Implementation: Contribute to discussing and implementing robust security best practices for data engineering processes

Technical

Programming LanguagesProficiency in at least one of Python, Scala, or Java

Cloud ServicesExperience with AWS services (S3, EC2, IAM, EMR, Glue, Athena, Kinesis) or other cloud platforms
