The role

Summary

Plaid is seeking an Analytics Engineer to drive the company's marketing data strategy, building sophisticated data models, predictive frameworks, and self-serve analytics tools for the Marketing organization. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced technical skills to transform complex financial data into actionable insights that power Plaid's growth and marketing intelligence.

What you'll do

Data Model Ownership: Own and develop dbt models and data marts that power Marketing analytics, activation, and reporting at Plaid
Predictive Modeling: Build, validate, and productionize advanced predictive models including lead scoring, customer lifetime value (LTV), channel attribution, and propensity modeling
Analytical Partnership: Collaborate closely with Marketing leadership to design measurement frameworks, experiment designs, and optimize marketing spend through data-driven insights
Self-Service Analytics: Enable self-serve analytics capabilities through AI-powered tools and well-documented semantic data models
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Machine Learning, Data Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver cutting-edge data infrastructure for the Marketing organization

Technical

SQL ExpertiseAdvanced SQL skills with production-grade data modeling experience, particularly with dbt
ProgrammingProficiency in Python for advanced modeling and analytical work
Cloud Data WarehousingHands-on experience with modern cloud data warehouses like Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
Machine LearningDemonstrated experience in developing and deploying predictive models and applied machine learning in business contexts

Education

Degree RequirementBachelor's degree in quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Experience

Professional Experience4+ years of proven experience in analytics engineering, data science, or closely related functions
Industry SpecializationPrior experience in Marketing Analytics, Growth, or Go-to-Market analytics at a SaaS or usage-based technology company
