The role

Summary

Poshmark is seeking a Software Engineer II for its Cloud Platform Team, responsible for developing and maintaining robust cloud infrastructure that supports the company's innovative social commerce platform. The ideal candidate will contribute to scalable cloud solutions that enable Poshmark's 165 million members to have a seamless, performant shopping experience.

What you'll do

Cloud Infrastructure Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions that support Poshmark's social commerce platform and ensure high availability and performance
System Reliability Engineering: Develop and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to maintain system reliability and minimize downtime
Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize cloud platform performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure smooth user experience for 165 million platform members
Cloud Architecture Evolution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve cloud architecture, integrating new technologies and best practices
Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards in cloud infrastructure

What we look for

Technical

Cloud PlatformsExtensive experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with proven ability to design and manage complex cloud infrastructures
Programming LanguagesProficiency in Python, Go, or Java for cloud infrastructure scripting and automation
ContainerizationStrong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration technologies
Infrastructure as CodeExpertise in infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi

Education

Degree RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field; equivalent professional experience considered

Experience

Professional Experience3-5 years of experience in cloud platform engineering, with demonstrated progression in system design and infrastructure management
