Summary

Poshmark is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) to lead and transform their automation and quality engineering strategy. The ideal candidate will design scalable test automation frameworks, drive continuous improvement in testing processes, and mentor a high-performing automation team across web, mobile, and API platforms.

What you'll do

Test Harness and Infrastructure Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable test harnesses for web, mobile (iOS & Android), and API testing platforms. Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve test design and automation coverage.
Automation Framework Leadership: Lead the design and optimization of automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, Postman, and AI-driven solutions. Establish and enforce strong coding and testing standards through comprehensive code reviews.
Quality Assurance Partnership: Monitor product development, identify quality risks, and partner with development teams to improve testability and integrate testing early in the development lifecycle.
Metrics and Continuous Improvement: Define and track quality metrics, create automated reporting solutions, and continuously improve testing processes, tools, and workflows across engineering teams.
Team Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor and guide the automation team on best practices, framework design, and translate complex initiatives into clear, actionable goals.

Programming LanguagesProficient in Python or Java with 4+ years of hands-on programming experience
Test Automation ToolsExpert in Selenium, Appium, WebDriver, and CI/CD systems
Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms, ability to build efficient and scalable automation solutions

Education

Degree RequirementBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Professional Experience6+ years of software testing experience with a strong focus on test automation
Automation ExperienceProven experience designing and scaling automation systems for web, mobile, and APIs

Test AutomationExpertise in designing and implementing comprehensive test automation frameworks
CI/CD IntegrationExperience embedding automation into continuous integration and deployment pipelines
