Summary

Join Pylon as a Software Engineer in our New Grad program and help build the future of B2B post-sales support. You'll work on an all-in-one platform powered by conversational data and AI intelligence, serving over 1500 companies including Linear and Cognition. This full-time role in San Francisco offers end-to-end ownership, rapid iteration cycles, and mentorship from senior engineers from companies like Samsara, Affinity, Airbnb, and Meta.

What you'll do

Build AI-Powered Post-Sales Features: Develop features that enable customer support and success teams to operate more efficiently by leveraging artificial intelligence and conversational data. You'll design and implement user-facing and backend functionality that directly impacts how 1500+ companies manage their support operations.
Prototype and Ship Fast: Build prototypes, iterate quickly through feedback loops, and ship production code at a high velocity. You'll work in a fast-paced startup environment where rapid experimentation and product-driven development are core to the culture.
Own Features End-to-End: Take full ownership of features from conception through deployment and monitoring. Manage your own project timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain high agency in delivering solutions that solve real customer problems.
Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other software engineers in a non-waterfall, agile environment. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions to ensure cohesive platform development.
Learn from Senior Engineers: Work alongside a strong technical team of senior engineers with experience from high-growth companies like Samsara, Affinity, Airbnb, and Meta. Absorb best practices in full-stack development, system design, and software craftsmanship.

Technical

Full-Stack Web DevelopmentPractical experience building complete web applications with both frontend and backend components. Understanding of how data flows from UI to database and back.
API Design and IntegrationExperience designing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs. Ability to work with external services and manage data synchronization across systems.
Frontend DevelopmentProficiency with modern web frameworks and component-based architecture. Ability to build responsive, performant user interfaces with strong attention to UX details.
Backend DevelopmentCompetency with server-side languages, databases, and business logic implementation. Understanding of scalability, concurrency, and data persistence patterns.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's DegreePursuing or completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Start date must be Summer 2027 for full-time work.
