The role

Summary

Pylon is seeking a Product Software Engineer to build AI-powered features for their B2B post-sales support platform serving 1500+ companies including Linear and Modal Labs. You'll own features end-to-end in a full-stack capacity, collaborate with senior engineers from Samsara, Affinity, Airbnb, and Meta, and have high autonomy to ship fast in an in-person SF environment. The role requires 3+ years of full-stack development experience, strong product sense, startup navigation expertise, and ideally familiarity with React, Golang, GraphQL, and AWS.

What you'll do

End-to-End Feature Development: Design, build, and ship product features that enable post-sales teams (support and customer success) to operate more efficiently using AI-powered workflows. Take complete ownership of features from conception through production deployment, making technical decisions aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
Full-Stack Implementation: Develop both frontend and backend components of the Pylon platform using React, Golang, GraphQL, and AWS infrastructure. Write clean, maintainable code that scales across multiple channels and integrations supporting 1500+ enterprise customers.
Rapid Prototyping and Iteration: Build prototypes quickly, gather customer feedback, and iterate fast based on product learnings. Work in a non-waterfall, agile environment where shipping velocity and learning velocity are prioritized, leveraging AI tools for accelerated development.
Collaborative Engineering: Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate ambiguous requirements into technical specifications. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions with a senior engineering team from top-tier companies like Samsara, Affinity, and Meta.
Project Autonomy and Management: Manage your own workstreams independently with high autonomy to make technical decisions. Navigate ambiguity in startup environments, scope work appropriately, and juggle multiple concurrent projects while maintaining code quality and team communication.
AI Integration and Agentic Systems: Incorporate conversational AI and intelligent automation into product features. Build systems that leverage layered intelligence to help customers run post-sales operations in real-time, including experience with agentic products in production environments.
Technical Problem Solving: Address complex technical challenges in building a large-scale B2B SaaS platform serving enterprise customers. Contribute to architectural decisions, performance optimization, and system reliability while supporting rapid product iteration.
