You'll design and build scalable microservices for onboarding, payment flows, and loyalty systems using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS infrastructure. What you'll do

Design and Develop Scalable Backend Features: Take ownership of backend features from local development through production deployment, architecting and implementing robust microservices that power user growth and engagement within the payment platform. Participate in the full story lifecycle, ensuring features meet performance and reliability standards for millions of concurrent users.
Build High-Reliability Onboarding and Security Systems: Design and optimize backend systems supporting user onboarding, document verification, and security authentication flows. Reduce time-to-first-transaction by building efficient APIs and services that enable new users to start transacting safely within minutes, directly impacting activation metrics and user retention.
Develop Core Growth Services: Build backend microservices for shop discovery, transaction management, personalized consumer journeys, and CRM integrations. Optimize these systems for low-latency responses and high throughput to enhance user engagement and drive platform stickiness across the consumer growth domain.
Architect Loyalty and Monetization Infrastructure: Contribute to the technical foundation of subscription plans, referral programs, and loyalty mechanics (points and rewards systems). Build scalable backend systems that support long-term user retention strategies and incremental revenue generation through platform monetization features.
Manage AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Microservices Architecture: Take ownership of AWS-based infrastructure components including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, and Kinesis services. Participate in architectural improvements and optimization of microservices to ensure platform scalability, cost efficiency, and alignment with growth objectives.
Leverage AI Tools for Code Optimization and Efficiency: Integrate AI-powered development tools into daily workflows to write, review, and optimize code. Use AI capabilities for root cause analysis, debugging, and automatic documentation generation to accelerate development cycles and maintain high engineering standards across the team.
Ensure Code Quality and System Stability: Write clean, testable, and maintainable code adhering to established standards and best practices. Actively participate in code reviews, incident resolution, and post-mortems to identify root causes and implement preventative measures that maintain high system reliability and minimize downtime.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally and Document Technical Work: Work closely with Product, Stakeholders, and senior engineers to align technical implementations with roadmap objectives. Create comprehensive technical documentation for developed features and systems, ensuring knowledge transfer and enabling effective collaboration across engineering and product teams.

1+ Years Backend Engineering ExperienceMinimum 1 year of professional experience as a Backend Engineer building and maintaining scalable microservices in production environments.
