The role

Summary

UiPath is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the technical strategy for cloud services powering their automation platform. The ideal candidate will drive architectural decisions, design scalable distributed systems, and guide engineering excellence across complex backend and cloud-native environments.

What you'll do

Technical Leadership: Lead architecture and technical direction for complex backend and cloud-native services across the UiPath platform

System Design: Design scalable, secure, and high-performing distributed systems across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering leaders, product managers, and cross-functional teams to shape technical solutions for high-impact product and platform areas

Technical Planning: Drive technical roadmap and planning for complex services, platform capabilities, and cross-team initiatives

Engineering Excellence: Set high standards for system design, code quality, testing, observability, automation, and incident management

Mentorship: Mentor and guide engineers through design reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions

Programming LanguagesProficiency in modern programming languages like C#, Java, Python, or Go

Cloud ArchitectureExperience designing distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures

Cloud PlatformsProduction experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

Education
