The role

Summary

Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Software Developer for their Delivery Platform team, focusing on building and maintaining cutting-edge CI/CD infrastructure and deployment systems. The ideal candidate will architect reliable, scalable deployment solutions that empower hundreds of engineers to ship high-quality software quickly and confidently across multiple programming languages and technologies.

What you'll do

Progressive Delivery: Evolve canary deployment strategies and GitOps workflows using Argo Rollouts
CI/CD Optimization: Improve continuous integration workflows, optimize build times, and enhance artifact management
Deployment Security: Design and implement automated quality checks and deployment gates to prevent production incidents
Observability: Create comprehensive deployment monitoring, dashboards, and alerting systems
Reliability Engineering: Drive company's 2026 reliability mission through chaos testing and automated rollback mechanisms
Performance Testing: Pioneer continuous, automated load testing using k6 and performance validation frameworks
Mentorship: Champion engineering excellence by mentoring mid-level engineers and sharing expertise across the organization

What we look for

Technical

Platform Engineering7+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or SRE with strong platform engineering skills
Deployment TechnologiesExpertise in Kubernetes, GitOps, progressive delivery, and deployment strategies
Infrastructure as CodeExperience with AWS, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure management

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred

Experience

CI/CD Pipeline DesignProven track record of designing and operating deployment pipelines at scale
Reliability EngineeringExperience in building observable systems and understanding SLIs/SLOs
Performance TestingDemonstrated ability to implement and interpret load testing results

KubernetesDeep expertise in container orchestration and deployment
CI/CDAdvanced experience in designing and optimizing continuous integration and deployment pipelines
GitOpsProficiency in GitOps workflows, including ArgoCD and deployment strategies
