The role

Summary

Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Software Developer for its Platform Experience team, focusing on improving system reliability and enabling product teams to ship robust code. The ideal candidate will work across the full stack, diagnose production issues, and contribute to platform tools that enhance overall engineering effectiveness.

What you'll do

Production Issue Resolution: Partner with product engineers to diagnose, resolve, and prevent recurring production challenges
System Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of critical system components with focus on reliability and maintainability
Platform Tools Development: Contribute to platform frameworks and tools that enhance engineering reliability
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with Platform, Product, and Data teams to align technical decisions with client needs
Technical Standards: Help establish and maintain best practices for software development at Wealthsimple

What we look for

Technical

Programming LanguagesProficiency in Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, or Kotlin
System ArchitectureExperience with designing scalable and reliable software systems

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
