Welltech is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join their rapidly growing global team, focusing on developing scalable, user-centric wellness technology solutions. The role involves building robust cloud-native systems that power innovative health and fitness applications, with full relocation support offered to candidates moving to Cyprus.

What you'll do

System Development: Spearhead development of user-centric initiatives for wellness applications, collaborating across product, engineering, and data teams
System Architecture: Design and implement reliable, maintainable, and scalable backend systems to support millions of global users
Cloud Integration: Leverage AWS cloud services to build modern, serverless solutions using services like Lambda, API Gateway, and S3
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, data experts, and content teams to deliver cohesive user experiences
Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with a focus on continuous improvement and long-term system reliability

What we look for

Technical

Programming LanguagesStrong Python development skills with expertise in backend system design
Cloud InfrastructureExtensive experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and CloudFormation
Database ManagementProficiency with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and ORM tools like SQLAlchemy

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Backend DevelopmentMinimum 3-5 years of experience in backend engineering with a focus on scalable system design
