Summary

Welltech is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to drive the development of innovative wellness applications used by over 25.5 million users. The ideal candidate will lead technical initiatives, shape mobile architecture, and contribute to high-impact features that empower users' health and wellness journeys across multiple product lines.

What you'll do

Technical Ownership: Co-own and take technical ownership of the team's codebase and production systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and long-term maintainability
Product Development: Lead design and development of high-quality, performant, and maintainable mobile solutions with a focus on architecture and best practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with backend, frontend, security, infrastructure, and product teams to align on technical solutions and platform strategy
Technical Leadership: Mentor and support other engineers, fostering technical growth and a culture of ownership and excellence
System Improvement: Identify and drive initiatives that improve system quality, developer experience, and user impact

What we look for

Technical

Kotlin ExpertiseSolid experience with Kotlin, including coroutines, networking, persistence, and performance optimization
Android ArchitectureExpertise in Jetpack Compose, modular UI architectures, and architectural patterns like MVVM, MVI, and Dependency Injection
Development PracticesExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous integration tools

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Mobile DevelopmentProven track record of developing scalable and high-performance Android applications
Technical LeadershipExperience in leading technical initiatives and driving architectural decisions
