Summary

Welltech is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to drive the development of innovative wellness applications that empower millions of users. The ideal candidate will lead technical initiatives, shape mobile architecture, and contribute to cross-functional product development with a focus on high-quality, scalable solutions in the health and wellness technology space.

What you'll do

Technical Ownership: Co-own and take technical ownership of the team's codebase and production systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and long-term maintainability
Solution Architecture: Lead design and development of high-quality, performant, and maintainable mobile solutions with a strong focus on architecture and best practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with backend, frontend, security, infrastructure, and product teams to align on technical solutions and platform strategy
Technical Leadership: Mentor and support other engineers, fostering technical growth and a culture of ownership and excellence
Product Innovation: Drive end-to-end delivery by translating complex user and product needs into robust technical solutions, from discovery through production

What we look for

Technical

Kotlin ExpertiseAdvanced proficiency in Kotlin, including coroutines, networking, persistence, and performance optimization
Mobile ArchitectureExpertise in Jetpack Compose, modular UI architectures, and architectural patterns like MVVM, MVI, and Dependency Injection
Development PracticesStrong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous integration tooling

Education

Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

Android DevelopmentMinimum 5+ years of professional Android development experience with demonstrated expertise in mobile application architecture

KotlinAdvanced proficiency in Kotlin programming language and its ecosystem
Mobile ArchitectureDeep understanding of Android development architectural patterns and best practices
