Summary

A senior-level engineering role at Xero focused on developing and operationalizing AI-driven workflow solutions. The role involves embedding with internal teams to design intelligent automation, create AI agents, and build reusable patterns that transform how the organization leverages artificial intelligence across enterprise platforms.

What you'll do

AI Workflow Design: Design and iterate on AI agents and workflow orchestrations using cutting-edge AI tools like Claude, Gemini, and MCP
Enterprise Integration: Integrate AI systems with core enterprise platforms including Salesforce, Workday, Slack, and NetSuite
Automation Patterns: Develop reusable automation patterns and shared templates for future AI Centre of Excellence
Performance Monitoring: Build evaluation and monitoring frameworks to measure AI workflow performance and ensure safety
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with non-technical stakeholders to translate business challenges into technical solution designs

What we look for

Technical

Programming LanguagesProficiency in Python or TypeScript, with ability to work with SDKs and webhooks
AI TechnologiesHands-on experience with AI-driven solutions, agents, copilots, or RAG systems using LLMs like Claude or Gemini
Cloud InfrastructureExperience in building and operating applications within production environments, with strong API and cloud infrastructure skills

Education

Technical DegreeBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred

Experience

AI Solution DeliveryProven track record of designing and implementing AI-driven workflow solutions
Enterprise IntegrationExperience integrating complex systems and platforms
