The role

Summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join their Knowledge Platform Team, focusing on building and optimizing data infrastructure for the Growth Team. The ideal candidate will design scalable data pipelines, integrate data sources, and contribute to the company's data and AI strategy across acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization domains.

What you'll do

Data Pipeline Design: Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and stream data pipelines for internal analytics and operational use cases

Data Integration: Develop data ingestion frameworks connecting internal systems with the centralized data platform using tools like Kafka, Flink, and Spark

Platform Optimization: Contribute to automation and reliability improvements to reduce data latency and enhance platform scalability

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product, engineering, and BI teams to translate business requirements into robust engineering solutions

Data Governance: Assist with integration of external data sources and manage data quality and consistency concerns

Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior Data Platform Engineers and support project delivery
